NORMA JEAN SADOSKI

March 13, 1942 - October 21, 2016

Norma Jean Sadoski, 74, of Williamsburg died unexpectedly at Cooley Dickinson Hospital on Friday, October 21, 2016

Norma was born March 13, 1942, in Westfield Mass, the third daughter to Charles K. Osgood and Harriet E. Magargal.  She attended Worthington Schools and Northampton High School, graduating in the class of 1960.

Norma was married to Donald Carl Sadoski on October 28, 1961, at Saint Mary’s in Haydenville. They made their home in Whately where they raised their three children, Debbie, Lisa and Robert. Norma worked for many years for Dr. Hugh Tatlock in Northampton, followed by a long career at Valley Educational Associates in Turners Falls, until her retirement in 2007.

Norma’s most valuable time spent was with her family and close friends. She loved being with people, and always had a kind word to say and a heartfelt smile to share. Norma enjoyed spending time at the ocean, where she felt close to her daughter Debbie who died in 1993. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit her sister Marylou, and sharing adventures with her sister Joan.

In Norma’s company there was always a lot of fun, laughter, and great food. She was an active member of the “Woman’s Pitch Club” who met monthly for over 40 years. Together, they shared in all of the ups and downs that life brings and played cards! She had very meaningful relationships with her daughter Lisa and son Robert, as well as her grandson Kyle, who she hunted on the Deerfield Mountain with.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Holabird and her partner Terry Holabird of Dummerston Vermont; a son Robert Sadoski and his partner Luciana Bertoldi of Greenfield; a grandson Kyle Sadoski and his partner Alexis Reynolds and her first great grandchild Laura Renee Sadoski of Sunderland, two sisters: Marylou Dragon of Melbourne Florida, and Joan Donovan of Williamsburg, sister-in-law Maryann Sadoski of Whately, and brother-in-law Gerald Sadoski of Whately, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harriet and Charles, her husband Donald and her daughter Deborah (Sadoski) Graves.

Calling hours will be held at the Wrisley Funeral Home in South Deerfield on Monday, October 24 from 5:00 P.M - 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Wrisley’s with the Rev. Philippe Roux officiating. A burial will be followed at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Guests are invited following the burial to the Pope John Paul Center Parish in South Deerfield.

Norma died before being able to meet her first great grandchild, Laura Renee Sadoski. She was so excited about the birth of Laura. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Laura Renee Sadoski account at the Greenfield Savings Bank, 400 Main Street, Greenfield Mass 01302.
