Our mom, Mary Jo, graced this earth for 70 years as an angel amongst humans, but she has now been called back to be with the angels in heaven. While this feels premature for all of us in the earthly realm, we know that her shining spirit was needed elsewhere to bless the infinite universe in other ways. Mom led a wonderfully full life that touched, inspired and empowered countless individuals. As a warrior of a woman, our mother loved fiercely and lived life to its fullest, with true joy and abandon. She epitomized qualities of generosity, tenderness, humility, honesty, wisdom and dignity, among many others. Her beauty shined so bright inside-and-out, as she embodied true balance in human nature, such as with the juxtaposition of strength and vulnerability. With steadfast integrity, Mary Jo was a lioness when it came to her conviction, self-confidence and determination; Simultaneously, she brought unconditional love and compassion to each relationship throughout her life. She fulfilled each of her roles in life with devotion, loyalty and love. Mary Jo will be remembered as the best friend, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin, partner and colleague that anyone could ever hope for - and for many of us, she will always remain our hero. As our mother, she gave us life and she saved our lives. She inspired and challenged us to be the best human beings that we can be. She imbued and nurtured the goodness in us all, making us better people, just by knowing her. Mom, Mary Jo, MJ, you are our Angel, and we know that you will be with us forever, dancing by our sides and smiling upon us with your radiant spirit. We have all been so blessed to walk beside you. We love you; we will miss you, until we meet again…..
