Marion C. Wysocki,92, of Plumtree Road, Sunderland, died Tues.
Morning in Heritage Hall-East, Agawam with her children by her side. She was born in Sunderland, March 6, 1920, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Sinkowskas) Discawicz. She was educated in Sunderland schools and later graduated from Amherst High School.
Marion was married to Frank Wysocki October 3, 1942 in St. Stanislaus Church by Rev. John Langow. All of their married life was spent in Sunderland. He predeceased her in 1968. In early years she was a beautician at the Lord Jeffrey Inn in Amherst. She later opened her own shop in Sunderland. Marion also worked as a real estate broker, operating Wysocki Real Estate in Sunderland.
She was an avid gardener, enjoyed Arts & Crafts and had a big heart for the homeless. Marion was a diehard Democrat and a fierce protector of her friends and family. In earlier years she served on the State Democratic Committee. She was the proud mother of three Marine sons, Don, Kenneth and Barry Wysocki.
Marion is survived by four sons, Francis and his wife Elaine of Greenfield, Kenneth and Annette of Montague, Donald of Turners Falls, and Brian of Springfield. One daughter, Allison Sacco and husband Frank of Agawam. One sister, Minnie
Telega of Leverett, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Another son, Barry, predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16th, at 9:15AM from the Wrisley Funeral Home, Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 PM.
