– Lillian Julia LaMountain, 82, of 70
North Silver Lane, Sunderland, died unexpectedly
on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Baystate
in Springfield. She was born in Bondsville, MA,
May 22, 1932, the daughter of John and Stella (Klaus) Piechota.
She was educated in Bondsville schools and graduated from Chicopee High School in 1949. She later married Alfred LaMountain on June
2, 1956 in the St. Stanislaus Church, Chicopee. All their married life was in Sunderland. She
was a member of the Holy
and a member of the Rosary Confraternity.
Lillian was a retired Administrative Assistant at the University of Mass, Amherst Chancellor’s Office. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, cooking and
spending time with her family. In her
later years, she cared for elderly family members.
Beside her husband Alfred LaMountain, she leaves one
daughter, Deborah Giles and her husband Edward of South Hadley, one brother,
Stanley Piechota and his wife Peggy of Huntington Beach, CA and three nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9:15am from the Wrisley
Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10am in Holy Family
Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus
Cemetery, Montgomery St.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7pm; the Rosary Confraternity will meet
at 5pm at the funeral home. Donations in
