Bernardston, MA
- Leonard Malinoski, 70, of 9
School Road, Bernardston, died on Saturday
afternoon at the Baystate Medical Center
in Springfield
after a period of failing health. He was
born in Springfield
on January 26, 1943, the son of Joseph and Dora (Frigon) Malinoski.
He was
educated in Enfield, CT
and Framingham schools and graduated from Framingham Union High School. In 1962 he joined the US Navy and served
during the Vietnam
conflict. After his discharge, he later
married Sandra Perchak in St. Stanislaus Church on February 7, 1970 officiated
by Rev. Casimir Switalski. He was
employed as a Tool & Die Maker working for Millers Falls Tool Co,
Strathmore Paper and retired from Yankee Hill Machine in Florence, MA.
Besides his
wife, Sandra of Bernardston, he leaves two sons, Jason Malinoski and his wife,
Corey of Orange, Christopher and his fiancée, Jennifer of Swanzey, NH, two
daughters, Amy May and her husband, Mitch of Bernardston, Beth Saridge and her
husband Christopher of Conway, one sister Anne Marie Burrows of Sudbury, MA,
five grandchildren, Deanna Malinoski, Cameron May, James Michael May, Jack
Savidge and Jayden Malinoski and several nieces and nephews. One brother predeceased him, Robert Malinoski
and one sister, Lorraine Fitzgerald.
Funeral
Services will be on Wednesday at 9:15am from the Wrisley Funeral Home, followed
by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy
Family Church,
South Deerfield, celebrated by Rev Fr.
Philippe Roux. Burial with Military Honors, will be in the Riverside Cemetery,
Sunderland, MA.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7pm. Donations in his memory may be made to the
Leukemia Foundation.
