Calling hours at the Funeral Home are Friday, June 29th from 6 pm to 8 pm.  The Rosary Confraternity will recite the Rosary at 7 pm.
 

Funeral services onSaturday, June 30th at 9:15 am from the Wrisley Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church.  Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

 
Joyce A. Dembek, 74, of 17 Thayer St., So. Deerfield died Sunday afternoon at home, after a period of failing health.  She was born in Salem, Ohio, May 6, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Mary Jane (Rich) Coppock.  She was educated in Ohio schools and graduated from Salem High School, class of 1956.  She then attended Airline School in Hartford, CT, where she met her future husband.
 
Joyce married Edward T. Dembek on June 1, 1957 in Alliance, Ohio.  All of their married life was in South Deerfield.  Edward pre-deceased her on June 30, 2007.  She was a member of the Holy Family Church, the Rosary Confraternity; Charter member of St. Ann’s Sodality, St. Cecelia Choir and worked on church bingo.  She was employed as the housekeeper at the Holy Family Church Rectory. Prior to this, she was employed by the University of Massachusetts for several years.
 
She is survived by one son, David Dembek and his wife Catherine of Roundup, Montana, one daughter, Alison Odle and her husband Michael of So. Deerfield, two sisters, Marsha Harp and her husband Tom of Salem, Ohio and Cheryl Hollingshead and her husband Leon of Parowan, Utah.  Her sister Marilyn Coppack pre-deceased her.  She also leaves her nieces Teri, Margaret (Sissy), Mary, Tina (pre-deceased), Stacey and Amy, her eight grandchildren, Jason, Wesley and his wife Katie, Anna, Sam and Martha Dembek, Cody, Miyah and Jessie Odle all of So. Deerfield, her great-granddaughter Ayva Marie and her cat Prince Phillip and her dear friend Stella Connors.
 
Joyce enjoyed arts & crafts, traveling and spending time with family.
