She graduated from Amherst High School while she worked on the family farm and belonged to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst in food services. She was an avid vegetable and fruit gardener, taking great pride in sharing her harvests. She especially enjoyed canning/pickling vegetables. She will always be remembered for having the best pickles, and because of this most of the family to this day loves pickles. A constant throughout Jennie’s life was her love for the outdoors, more specifically animals. She had many pets, and was always caring for wild life, another trait she passed to her family of animal lovers. She had a passion for cooking, and made many great, memorable meals. Jennie enjoyed sewing and would always ask “Do you have anything to sew?”
