Deerfield- Frederick E. Rowe, 87, of 141 North Main Street, South Deerfield
died early Saturday morning Nov.8,
2014 in Charlene Manor Extended Care
Facility in Greenfield.
born in Putney, Vermont August 3, 1927 the son of Frederick E. Rowe II and
Evelyn Teft Rowe. He was educated in Deerfield schools and attended Deerfield
High School. Fred later joined the U. S .Army and served during World War 2. He
later married Marion Mullins in Hatfield May 6, 1950. All their married life
was spent in Deerfield. She predeceased him in
a member of the Mt. Sugarloaf Lodge of
Masons and also its Grand Master., the Loyal Order of Moose #997, the Town of
Deerfield School Dept., He was one of the three founding members of Tri Town
Beach. He was co-founder
of R & H Painting Company. He worked at Northfield Mt. Herman, Wrisley
Leasing Co., and drove bus at Grybko’s Garage. He was an avid football fan.
survived by one daughter Kathleen Rowe-Clapp and her husband Douglas of
Greenfield. Two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and
nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers George
and Robert Rowe and one sister Catherine Wells.
Calling Hours at the Wrisley Funeral Home, Sugarloaf St.,
South Deerfield will be Tuesday, Nov. 11th,
from 4-6PM. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home
followed by burial with Military Honors in Brookside
Cemetery, South Deerfield.
