AMHERST: Frank R. Judice, most recently of Applewood (member of the Loomis Communities) in Amherst, died Wednesday evening, July 15, after a six-month courageous battle with failing health.

Born October 24, 1932, in Queens, New York City, he was the son of the late Katherine (Kupskas) and Frank A. Judice. Mr. Judice graduated from Mepham High School in Bellmore, NY, in 1950. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, he went on to earn an Associate Degree at the State University of New York at Farmingdale in June 1957.

A field service technician, he worked for IBM from 1957 to 1988, and subsequently for Eastman Kodak from 1988 to 1996. A skilled and patient man, he had the reputation of being able to fix almost anything. He particularly loved collecting and repairing clocks, and was a lifetime member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. He also loved photography and was a talented woodworker.

On July 22, 1978, he married Jo Ann (Fitch), formerly of Guilford, VT. He is survived by his loving wife; two brothers—Edward (Huiping) Judice of Framingham, MA, and William

Bobersky of Satellite Beach, FL; a sister, Rita Hines of Bellmore, NY; nephew Edward Hines (Sheila) of Wendell, MA; brother-in-law Dwight Fitch of Townsend, MA,; sisters-in law Mary Fitch of Townsend, MA, and Barbara Fitch Haumann of Guilford, VT; numerous nephews, grand nephews, nieces and grand nieces.
