Eleanor C. Pielock, 80, of Ocala, FL passed away recently at her home in Ocala, Fla. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer under the loving care and devotion of her husband Charles and daughter Pam. Eleanor was born in Deerfield, MA, to Michael and Ann (Brost) Nieskoski. She grew up in the beautiful fields and farmland of the area, enjoying the blessings of each season. She always treasured her return visits to New England to reconnect with family and friends, particularly in the autumn, her favorite season.

She attended the Deerfield schools and graduated from Deerfield High School. Eleanor started her medical career as a laboratory technician at the Farren Memorial Hospital in Montague, MA, and then continued at the Athol Memorial Hospital. In 1954 she married Charles R. Pielock of Whately, MA, at the St. Stanislaus Church in South Deerfield. The couple enjoyed many years together in Massachusetts before retiring to Ocala, Fla.

One of Eleanor’s greatest delights was polka dancing, as she and Charlie were a ery skilled couple on the dance floor. She often enjoyed weekends with dance and spirited polka music. Eleanor appreciated spending precious time with her grand- children at their home and in their many sports. She also took pleasure in traveling and gardening.

She is survived by her dear husband Charles; and their three children, Thomas Pielock and his wife Elizabeth, of Conway, Ma., Pamela Pielock and her husband Jim Elsevier of Edgewater, Fla., and Michael Pielock and his wife Linda of Orlando, Fla., and three grandchildren, Michael, Carson, and Tanner all of Orlando, Fla. Eleanor also leaves two nieces Elizabeth Tudryn and Dorothy Smiarowski of Mass. and nephews Charles Smiarowski of Mass. and Joseph Nieskoski of Va.; and numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Edward and Joseph Nieskoski and sisters, Ann Smiarowski, Jesse Parda, and Katherine Podlo all predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held Monday, August 31st, from 5 to 7PM at the Wrisley Funeral Home, Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:15AM from the Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church at 10:00AM.
