Eleanor C. Pielock, 80, of Ocala, FL passed away recently
at her home in Ocala, Fla. She fought a long and courageous battle
with cancer under the loving care and devotion of her husband Charles and
daughter Pam. Eleanor was born in Deerfield, MA, to Michael and Ann (Brost)
Nieskoski. She grew up in the beautiful fields and farmland of the area,
enjoying the blessings of each season. She always treasured her return visits
to New England to reconnect with family and
friends, particularly in the autumn, her favorite season.
She attended the Deerfield schools and
graduated from Deerfield
High School. Eleanor
started her medical career as a laboratory technician at the Farren Memorial
Hospital in Montague, MA, and then continued at the Athol Memorial Hospital. In
1954 she married Charles R. Pielock of Whately, MA, at the St. Stanislaus
Church in South Deerfield. The couple enjoyed
many years together in Massachusetts before
retiring to Ocala, Fla.
One of Eleanor’s greatest delights was
polka dancing, as she and Charlie were a ery skilled couple on the dance floor.
She often enjoyed weekends with dance and spirited polka music. Eleanor
appreciated spending precious time with her grand- children at their home and
in their many sports. She also took pleasure in traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her dear husband
Charles; and their three children, Thomas Pielock and his wife Elizabeth, of
Conway, Ma., Pamela Pielock and her husband Jim Elsevier of Edgewater, Fla.,
and Michael Pielock and his wife Linda of Orlando, Fla., and three
grandchildren, Michael, Carson, and Tanner all of Orlando, Fla. Eleanor also
leaves two nieces Elizabeth Tudryn and Dorothy Smiarowski of Mass. and nephews
Charles Smiarowski of Mass. and Joseph Nieskoski of Va.; and numerous grand and
great-grand nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Edward and Joseph Nieskoski and
sisters, Ann Smiarowski, Jesse Parda, and Katherine Podlo all predeceased her.
Calling hours will be held Monday,
August 31st, from 5 to 7PM at the Wrisley Funeral Home, Sugarloaf Street, South
Deerfield. Funeral service will be held
Tuesday at 9:15AM from the Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian
Burial in Holy Family Church
at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, South
