MA – Bernice A. (Matuszko)
Adamski, 87, of 67 No. Silver Lane, Sunderland, died Monday morning in Charlene
Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield. She was born in North
Amherst, March 4, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Buzta)
Bernice was educated in Amherst
schools and graduated from Amherst
High School in the class
of 1945. She worked for the WAVES during
WWII. She later married Edmund A.
Adamski in Holy Rosary Church
on November 15, 1947. The early part of
their married life was in Hatfield, later moving to Sunderland
in 1948. She was a baker at the Univ. of Mass.,
retiring in 1992. In her younger years,
Bernice enjoyed polka dancing, traveling, flowers, baking and spending time
with her grandchildren and family.
Besides her husband Edmund (Mooney) Adamski, she leaves one
daughter, Cindi Adamski Dalzell and her husband Stuart of Stow, MA; one
brother, Henry Matuszko of Goshen,
three grandchildren, Ned, Brett and Haley Dalzell and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in the
Wrisley Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside
Cemetery, Sunderland. There will be a calling hour from 10am until
the time of the service. Donations in her memory may be made toward the Floral Gardens,
Town of Sunderland,
